She is the personification of sincerity and truth, her essence rejects lies and flattery. It is her simplicity that helps her take the first step towards N.N. and tell how she feels for him. Of course, this was a difficult decision, she is in emotional stress, but still, Asya decides to trust her beloved person. The bravery of a girl scares N.N. He is afraid to take responsibility, as well as problems that may arise in a relationship. The girl is disappointed in the world, in feelings, in love. Her decision to leave was dictated precisely by the act of N.N. However, her disappointments spread only to N.N. She realized that she could not be next to a cowardly man. Of course, later, the hero will understand that he made a mistake and will regret what was done, but nothing can be changed.

The ending of the story does not provide for Asya's continued life, but the reader has no doubt that her principles are unshakable. She will remain true to herself and her attitudes, moral ideals. Asi's image is a strong, independent girl. This heroine is capable of great things that start small. Not everyone will be able to openly confess their feelings and trust an almost unfamiliar man. This story inspires hope that our consumer world with technological progress still harbors "Turgenev girls" who are ready for sincere and lofty feelings.
