(288 words) War is the most terrible and cruel form of confrontation between people. Whatever the reason for it, it can never be a worthy means of achieving peace. The struggle of peoples brings only death, suffering and destruction. An example of this is the Second World War, which shook the whole of Europe and especially our country.
Someone may say that wars are inevitable as long as humanity exists, and they are necessary for the development of society. But, in my opinion, if all people on Earth learned to live in peace, to love and understand each other more, then bloody armed clashes could be avoided. The Second World War began because of hatred and intolerance of some people towards others - the Nazis imagined themselves to be a "higher race" and wanted to destroy those who, in their view, were "lower" than them.
In the fairy tale "The Little Prince" Antoine de Saint-Exupery, through the lips of a boy from a tiny planet, spoke about the baobabs, which, if you do not notice and flog them in time, will grow to gigantic proportions and destroy the planet. The writer was a military pilot and saw with his own eyes the horrors of war. In his work, he aptly described Nazism in the form of baobabs. At first it is harmless seeds and sprouts. But if you let them grow further, then they will take over the planet. Therefore, any intolerance towards people that could lead to genocide should be stopped in the bud.
Through the little prince, Exupery also conveyed a very important message to all of us: "I got up in the morning, put myself in order, and put our planet in order." This means that we are all responsible for the peace of our earth. We can cultivate tolerance and kindness in ourselves and in growing generations. People need to think not only about their own good and the good of their country, but also about the good of the whole world, all of humanity. After all, we all live under the same sky, we look at the same stars. We are all children of the Earth, and we are obligated to live in peace.
