(319 words) Russia is a great power in which good, open and, unfortunately, mostly irresponsible people live. Why? Because the ecology of our country suffers, and people have a direct relationship to this.
Air pollution is one of the most important problems. Industrial emissions, car exhausts, toxic gases in landfills, the effects of fires - all this negatively affects the ozone layer, destroying it. After evaporation, harmful particles return to the earth, poison the air and water, which in turn has a bad effect on the person himself, as well as on the state of animate and inanimate nature. For example, the effects of landfill gas emissions in Volokolamsk, where dozens of children were poisoned, are widely known. There also increased mortality of newborn babies. However, the landfill is still operational.
Water and soil pollution leads to a shortage of drinking water, the extinction of some individual species of animals. Deforestation of hundreds and thousands of hectares of forest land in order to create new agricultural land, build new motorways, sales, forest fires that broke out due to human negligence, cause irreparable damage to flora and fauna and lead to the formation of a greenhouse effect. Incomplete disposal and leakage of radioactive waste leads to the fact that hazardous elements can get into the body of animals or humans with water, and radiation can cause cell mutation, and subsequently the death of any living creature! Poaching at all leads to the ruin of the Earth, because it destroys the rarest species of animals, birds, fish, which are not found anywhere else in the world.
The main problem that negatively affects the current environmental situation in our country is the lack of treatment facilities. Those that are already outdated and can not cope with household and industrial waste. About 400 kg of waste falls on one person per year, much of this is secondary raw materials, which are not recycled, but dumped landfills. Sorting of household waste, so well known in Europe, in Russia, is something unthinkable for a modern resident. Units find a couple of minutes a day for this insignificant in their life, but so important nationwide business. Therefore, the first step towards improving the environmental situation in our country should be to increase the environmental culture of the population.
