(343 words) M.A. Sholokhov in "The Fate of Man" talks about the difficult fate of Andrei Sokolov. He shows us a man who in his life managed to see all the horrors of war. Farewell to family, the first battle, the thirst to help "their", life in captivity, loss of family. The author himself heard this story from the military. It was then that he decided that he could not write about it.
Sokolov’s description is very ordinary: “A tall, stooped man.” His hands were black, and his eyes were so empty that "it is difficult to look at them." According to Andrei, failures began to haunt him from childhood. He lost his parents early, lived alone. Then he got married. The hero was very proud of the bride, sincerely loved her: “I got a good girl!”, He said. Soon they had children. And things went well with the family, some money appeared. Andrey is a decent and economic family man. With the advent of children, he abandoned strong alcohol, allowing himself only a glass of beer. But this rainbow picture is being replaced by war. The hero, like all men, goes to the front.
When trying to deliver shells to the battery, Andrei is captured. There he shows courage and honor by killing a traitor, and in the death camp itself he valiantly refuses to drink with Müller for the victory of the Third Reich, which again deserves respect. In the forty-fourth year, he manages to escape, and even to take with him an important German engineer. The first thing that Andrei Sokolov does when he returns to his land is to kiss her. The hero is enthusiastic and asks to record him in the regiment. We can say that his life was a little better. But here comes a letter from a neighbor. The whole family died, only the son is alive. They are written off and together, but from different sides, go to Berlin. But on the very last day of the war, Anatoly died. So, even the war ended for the hero joylessly. Then Andrei goes to Uryupinsk and lives with a friend. There he meets Vanyusha, an orphaned orphan whom he accepted as his son.
M. Sholokhov by no means just showed us the main character before he began his story. From one description of Andrew in the heart appears longing. It is difficult for him to talk about his life. The only joy was the new little son Vanya. They found each other when they especially needed it.
